Worker Terms

Last updated: May 2026

These Worker Terms apply to all workers using the Disco platform. By creating a worker account or using Disco, you agree to these terms.

1. About Disco

Disco is a hospitality staffing marketplace that allows workers to discover and apply for flexible hospitality shifts posted by operators and venues.

Any working relationship is between the worker and the operator or venue directly.

3. Eligibility

To use Disco as a worker, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom
  • Provide accurate information
  • Use the platform lawfully

4. Worker Responsibilities

Workers are responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate profile information

5. Right to Work

Workers are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.

Operators may request documentation or verification before confirming shifts.

6. Shift Applications

Workers may browse and apply for available shifts through Disco.

Applying for a shift does not guarantee acceptance or booking.

Operators are solely responsible for deciding whom to book.

7. Accepted Shifts

Once a worker accepts or confirms a shift, they are expected to attend unless prevented by genuine emergencies or unavoidable circumstances.

Frequent cancellations, no-shows, or unreliable conduct may result in:

  • Reduced visibility on the platform
  • Lower reliability metrics
  • Account suspension or removal

8. Payments

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Disco does not process worker payments.

Payment arrangements are made directly between workers and operators.

Disco is not responsible for:

  • Unpaid wages
  • Late payments
  • Tax deductions
  • Payroll administration
  • Holiday pay disputes

9. Taxes and Financial Responsibilities

Workers are responsible for managing their own taxes and financial obligations where applicable by law.

Disco does not provide tax advice.

10. Worker Profiles and Ratings

Disco may display:

  • Reliability scores
  • Activity history
  • Skills and experience
  • Application activity

These features are intended to improve marketplace trust and matching quality.

Disco reserves the right to modify or remove profile features at any time.

11. Prohibited Conduct

Workers must not:

  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Impersonate another individual
  • Harass or discriminate against others
  • Attempt to damage or exploit the platform
  • Use Disco for unlawful activity
  • Share offensive, abusive, or inappropriate content

12. Suspension and Removal

Disco may suspend or terminate worker accounts where users:

  • Violate these terms
  • Engage in unsafe or abusive conduct
  • Repeatedly fail to attend confirmed shifts
  • Create legal or safety risks for the platform or operators

13. Health and Safety

Operators are responsible for providing safe workplaces and complying with relevant health and safety laws.

Workers should immediately report unsafe conditions to the operator or relevant authorities where appropriate.

Use of the platform is at the worker’s own risk.

15. Privacy

Use of Disco is also governed by the Disco Privacy Policy.
