Disco is a hospitality staffing marketplace that connects hospitality venues and operators with independent hospitality workers seeking flexible shift opportunities.
Disco provides software and platform tools to facilitate introductions, applications, communication, and shift discovery between users.
2. Platform Role
Disco acts solely as a technology platform and marketplace.
Disco is not:
- An employer of workers
- A payroll provider
- A staffing agency guaranteeing employment
- A party to agreements between workers and operators
Disco is not responsible for employment contracts, wages, taxes, pensions, insurance, workplace supervision, disciplinary matters, or legal compliance between operators and workers.
3. Eligibility
To use Disco, users must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom where applicable
- Provide accurate account information
- Use the platform lawfully and honestly
4. User Accounts
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts and passwords.
You agree not to:
- Share accounts with others
- Impersonate another person or business
- Provide false information
- Attempt unauthorized access to the platform
Disco reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
5. Operator Responsibilities
Operators are solely responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance with employment and tax laws
- Performing right-to-work checks where required
- Providing safe working environments
- Maintaining appropriate insurance
- Paying workers correctly and on time
- Ensuring shift details are accurate
Operators acknowledge that Disco does not supervise workers or manage workplace conduct.
6. Worker Responsibilities
Workers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate profile information
- Only accepting shifts they intend to work
- Maintaining professional conduct
- Ensuring they have the legal right to work
- Managing their own taxes where applicable
7. Shift Applications and Bookings
Disco does not guarantee:
- Shift availability
- Worker selection
- Booking confirmations
- Minimum earnings
- Continuous work opportunities
Operators are responsible for deciding whom to book. Workers are responsible for deciding which shifts to apply for or accept.
8. Payments
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Disco does not process payments between workers and operators.
Payment arrangements are made directly between operators and workers.
Disco is not responsible for:
- Unpaid wages
- Payment disputes
- Payroll deductions
- Tax reporting
9. Ratings and Reliability Features
Disco may display profile metrics, rankings, reliability scores, badges, or activity indicators.
These features are provided for informational purposes only and do not guarantee worker quality, performance, or suitability.
10. Prohibited Conduct
Users must not:
- Use Disco for unlawful purposes
- Harass or discriminate against other users
- Post misleading or fraudulent information
- Attempt to damage or disrupt the platform
- Upload malicious code or harmful software
11. Suspension and Termination
Disco may suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion where users:
- Violate these terms
- Create safety risks
- Provide false information
- Abuse the platform
12. Intellectual Property
The Disco platform, branding, logos, design, and software are owned by Disco unless otherwise stated.
Users may not copy, reproduce, or commercially exploit platform content without permission.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Disco shall not be liable for:
- Loss of earnings or business opportunities
- Workplace disputes
- Worker conduct
- Operator conduct
- Missed shifts or cancellations
- Indirect or consequential losses
Use of the platform is at your own risk.
14. Platform Availability
Disco does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform.
Features may change, be updated, suspended, or removed at any time.
15. Privacy
Use of Disco is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
16. Changes to These Terms
Disco may update these Terms of Service from time to time.
Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
